In the many iterations of Post Production work that we have been asked to do, it was a challenge to enter into the world of telephone messaging, but over the past 12 months or so we have begun producing a series of ‘on-hold’ telephone messages for a couple of our regular clients.
The process begins with a script and a choice of backing music – developed in-house or by the client. The music is sourced by ourselves in consultation with the client as either a selection of pre-recorded music that is free from copyright or alternatively an original composition recorded in our own studio.
Once these elements are in place, we organise a voice over artist to record the agreed script – this can vary on it’s source depending on the type of voice required. Finally we mix all the elements together to produce the finished message(s) in the very specific format that is required for professional telephone messaging systems.
