It was a pleasure to take this enquiry from Radian, who wanted a Conference Recording made of their half-day event at the Wessex Conference centre near Winchester. A very early start was required, arriving in Winchester just before 7am.
The room had a stage at one end and this is where we positioned our Data Recorder out of sight, before running a microphone to the lectern that was situated on floor level. We then tackled the challenge of how to capture any questions from the audience. It was our understanding that the recording was needed for reference and training purposes, not for broadcast, so our choice of suspended mic and positioning was slighlty less critical (which was a relief as the ceiling was very high!)
With everything set in good time, a cup of coffee was greatly received. We hit record and closely monitored the proceedings, adjusting levels where necessary. Travelling back to the studio that afternoon, we processed the recording, and on this occassion sent a compact disc to the client first thing the next day. Thank you to Wessex Conference centre for letting us have access so early on the day.
